I suppose that Tom had a bit of an advantage in that he knew me, what my tastes are, what is important to me, and what I was looking for before we started. In large part, though, that came from years of paying attention to what I was saying when we talked about things that I liked and disliked about my previous property. That being said, my requirements for what I needed in a new home changed in the middle of the process. Tom was able to take in those changes immediately and quickly found properties that met those new requirements. He was on top of my search, to the point that he was able to find a near perfect place for me, literally the minute it came on the market. He was able to arrange the showing before anyone else had the opportunity to schedule and was able to communicate my offer and lock in the contract within hours.
He was able to keep me focused and realistic in my expectations and was extremely helpful in making suggestions about how various properties might work for me with slight modification.
